Default fuel pump getting noisy

last couple of days ive noticed a whining noise coming from around the gas tank area.im assuming its the fuel pump.truck is under warranty but if it needs replacing i'd rather go with a performance pump.whats a good performance replacement for the stock fuel pump?i would need one that will still work as i do more and more mods. <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />

there are no high performance replacement fuel pumps yet. I got a walbro 255 LPH, but the pickup is different than stock, so I can't WOT with less than 1/8 tank or I lose fuel pressure.

Its extremely common.

If I was still under warranty, I would take it in and get it replaced. However, that wont guarantee the noise won't come back. Replacing without warranty at the dealership, you're looking at around 800 dollars.

Hope that helps some. I'm looking into replacing it in the near future as well, its gotten much louder over the years.
