Default Fuel pressure question

Hey guys just installed my electric fuel pressure gauge...

Im reading 49 psi at idle and like 58/59 at WOT and at idle with the regulator disconnected.

My whipple instructions say that i need a minum of 61ps1 at idle with the regulator disconnected, but as i said i am only seeing between 58/59...
It says to get a new gauge if it is not correct... but it is a brand new phantom autometer gauge.... Is there somthing wrong or will i be ok?
It's an 03 SS btw with 5000 miles.

Thanks,
Nate
