Unhappy Fuel line on pump

What are you all using for fuel line on your intank pump?

My 05 truck has the big fuel basket with what I assume is the regulator in with the pump. The new pump is alot smaller then the factory pump which I guess is normal? The problem is the plastic fuel line that came with the new pump would not fit on the bundy fitting into the regulator, so I used the rubber hose that came with the pump. That was not a good idea since the pressure pushes it off everyday now. This is my DD and I am tired of it breaking down everyday and having to take the bed off to fix it. Do I have the wrong pump or do I need to get some other kind of fuel line?

Any insight would be great!
