Default frickin truck is too loud

I took the cats off and all i have is my magnaflow on there now. After 2000rpm you get this loud raspy sound. Damn thing sounds like straight pipes. It sounds like I should change my name to REDNECK2K. It still just runs into one muffler. Anyone know how a Corsa would sound with no cats? I will have to do something to quiet it back down before i get pulled over for them.

Which size Magnaflow do you have on there now? I just ordered 2 14" Magnaflows to run true duals when i put my headers on. I was going to take off the cats too, but I might not if its going to sound raspy. Mine might sound different with duals and an x-pipe though. Good luck with quieting it back down.

Don't bullet mufflers help get rid of the raspyness & lower the sound level some? I think that's what alot of the car guys use when they do !cats.

i have the magnaflow turbo's, 2 of the huge case ones, these are the quietest performance mufflers they sell, even these had a bad cackle like glass packs before i stuck in an hpipe, i doubt you will find any strait thru set up that wont be crazy loud without the cats

I had a flowmaster 40 series with no cats....pretty nasty sounding, so i put on a dynomax ultra flo welded muffler....big improvement but still a popping sound around 2500-3500 rpm, and unbearable on the highway, sounded like a beat up ford. my answer..i put the cats back on this weekend...now its too damn quiet....oh well, we live and learn i guess...my suggestion: put your cats back on and get a mandrel bent exhaust and some AS&M full length headers. that should flow and sound hella good. hope it works out for ya! ~steve

I am still running the same motor with the 216/220 cam. I am still waiting for MTI to finish pricing me everything. The truck will run a lot better once I get my stall. The truck run like a rapped ape up high. I still have traction issues from around 25 to 35 even with out spray. I need to get my *** down to houston so Hyde and Mix can play with the setup some. Plus I have to get my stall from MIX. Yes Kevin I am getting the 3000 from you as soon as the check comes in. That was also the installed price right? The cam sounds sweet with the cats gone. I get alot of looks.
