good to hear that you found the problem! i was going to say i think i remember someone on here posting that they used one of those rubber expanding plugs for replacing a freeze plug in the hole when they deleted the egr.

I guess I now love Dr Phil because I said I hate Dr Phil like posters.....really funny MODS. I just do not want this website that I enjoy to turn into the train wreck so many others are.

Like I said in the text earlier. I descreened my MAF and had problems. I have seen one other truck have problems. Mine worked for a year before going nuts.

I have also seen a multitude of trucks not have problems.

Glad to see you figured it out.

i say plug is fouled bad and its misfiring and rattling the CAT.. which leads to it most likely being destroyed. and it rattling and stuff will get your knock sensor going and pulling timing

i highly doubt the seafoam is the problem, but maybe the carbon coming from the intake ports was so much it fouled a plug. descreening the maf is like boinking your mom with a condom. lmfao

as to the guy who doesnt trust seafoam i have ran it thru sbc bbc ls1/5.3/4.8/6.0 and some other ls series engines without any problems and most of the cars are $100k show cars making big horsepower.

on top of the electrical work i do i offer preventitive maintance and i do the following in this order.
8oz seafoam in tank
fill with 93 octane
4oz thru a vaccum line
seafoam deep creep in the intake and tb or carb
4oz in the oil
run hard for 50 miles
change oil royal purple/k&n oil filter
change fuel filter
change air filter or clean and re-oil it
change plugs usually ngk (high end iridium or lasers sometimes i use autolite racing plugs)
plug wires....rotor cap and button if it has one
drain differential fluid
replace with royal purple
drain tranny fluid
replace filter and use royal purple tranny fluid
grease u-joints tie rod ends etc with royal purple
drain coolant and flush radiator, block, hoses and heater core
replace thermostat and gasket
fill with antifreeze and add purple ice
then drain power steering and add royal purple
and if im not having to travel to do the job i have nitrogen put in the tires
then crank her up and run the **** out of her
synthetics kick ***

When going over the "Free Mods" link BlackGMC linked it said, "Do not loose the O ring" Lights and sirens went off, I went outside and looked around where we were working and found said O ring. I installed everything fired up the truck and she idled just as pretty as you please. Kids, do play mechanic when on drugs!!
