Found one at a junk yard with 1597 miles comes with the converter. He is going to get back to me on the dipstick tube and dipstick. He said it shouldn't be a problem though.
He said the flex plates go for 30 something buks and I told him I needed the spacer with it, he said not a problem.
THe best part ... the tranny is going for 1100 bucks!
I ordered a shift kit last week as well as the Speartech harness. I talked to ALlen about tuning too. I just got a set of 4.10's from the FedEx man (Thanks Brad for being so quick), the Eaton posi should be here Monday or Tuesday.

Hopefully with the new posi I will be able to cut abetter 60' than 1.88 with slicks on a 12.56 run
I can't wait til this thing is back on the road. Yes, it's an 80e. It has been sitting up since Memorial day. I hate bumming rides. I need another car to get me around, I'm gonna have to get one soon anyways, but I still want my truck runnung.
Only thing that concerns me about this is that the 80e's OD is .75 to the 60e's .7 and with the added 4.10 gears, I'm thinking it's gonna put me cruising at 80 somewhere around 2500 which is a little higher than I'd like with my driving habbits. I like cruising along at 80 on the highways, and if that's running the motor at 2800 or so, that's not gonna be too good.

anybody ever thought about a gear splitter? dont know if it would work for our applications but it would keep the rpms down on the freeway, and let you run a better gear for the track.
dun know just a thought.

Yeah, check this out. James knows his stuff and can be caught over on Pac Audio if you have any questions.

Placed the order today ... ended up costing me about 1300shipped. I got the dipstick tube, dipstick, flexplate with a welded on spacer (
), and the stock converter. Still haven't been able to get in touch with Yank. If he doesn't answer the phone ... I may have to go somewhere else.
