Default Found out 90% of my truck problems

I've been having problems w/ my converter locking/unlocking, SES Light pretty much staying on all the time, funny noises coming from my engine.

I was cleaning under my hood after I washed my truck today. When I went to clean my spark plug wires, the one on the back passanger side (#7 I think)was loose! I'm really not even sure it was hooked up at all! I pushed it in and checked all the other wires to make sure they were loose or anything. When I got in my truck to go to class, it idled better (still low ~500rpms), and my SES light was off and hasn't come on since. When, I punched it to get on interstate, OMG . It ran awesome! I punched from about 15-20 and it threw me back and kept me there until 80 when I let off. I've been missing out on my last few mods because of a damn spark plug wire!

I'm getting my dyno-tune, billet servo installed, and P&P Throttle body, at Futral in the morning. I will also have my tq management deleted, egr deleted, rev limiter, and shift points raised. No telling how hard it will run after that! I know I'll be in the 14s now! Sorry for the long post.

It used to flash after about 60 and then it would just stay on.

Ya .. it'll flash to tell it was a misfire, then it will stay on until it is cleared. Sometimes if it starts misfiring again it will start flashing again to throw another code. I think that is once the 1st code is marked history which would mean the misfire went away.

Not sure on all that, but that's the idea .. I think.

Ya, those LS1 V8's sure do run better then the V7's they made for awhile. You sould drive one of them V9's.

Just think, if you had EFILive or AutoTap, you could have read the codes that were causing the SES and know you were having a misfire and found the problem long ago
