Default Forced Induction with FAST Products...

Has anyone tried running Forced induction (Turbo or Centrifugal Supercharger) with the FAST Intake and 90mm Throttle Body?

Thanks,

How big is your intake piping?

I don't see it as being a major restriction with forced induction. There are so many other places you can spend your money to make power that personally I woudn't even bother till you had everything else nailed down. I could be wrong though.

Good Point... Obviously some type of flexible coupler or reducer would be required.

What is the ID and OD of the STS kit intake pipe?

I know small losses in boost aren't always a bad thing when flow is increased but could this configuration initiate a harmful boost loss?

I have the F1R and the fast intake and throttle body sitting here at my shop. I actually got the 78 mm though because every corvette or camaro that we have put the fast components on have actually lost horse power when switching from the 78 to 90 whether it was forced induction or not. The motor has not got back from Keith Craft but I will post pics when its done and let yall know how it works.

The piping is 3" I believe. At least where it meets up by the intake. Further downstream is seems smaller. Like maybe 2.5" or 2.75"??

I don't think any boost loss from the bigger intake would be harmful at all. Boost loss when it comes to increased flow is never a bad thing that I am aware of unless you like boasting about high psi #s

I bet you'd gain decent HP from the intake change with FI but I just think that the money is better spend elsewhere at first due to the complexity of the install on a truck. You might gain 20-30rwhp with those changes, maybe but you can easily turn up the boost an extra 2psi to do the same thing. So IMO it just depends on where you're at with a particular combo. I have yet to max anything out so for me an intake change would be far down the road.
