Default FLP transmission just arrived

Talk about secure packing crates this baby could survive about any natural disaster,I know why their core charge is so high I bet this crate cost $500 to replace. The tranny is a Level 4 4L80E vacuum controlled line pressure,a pretty B&M finned aluminum pan and a 3 disk Vigilante.Looks like I'll have a busy week.

I dont understand this, mabey you can elaborate on this a little. I have an 04 and want to go with a built 65E route, and was told that i need a "blower check valve, all forced induction applications require it with our vacuum modulated transmission". I thought that these transmissions were electronic? Have no idea what this is?

The vacuum modulator only controls the line pressure and a check valve is installed in the vacuum line to vent positive boost that could damage the modulator. You are supposed to zero any torque management and adjust your shift points with the computer.

Whitt, when are you going to have the beast ready for Memphis Motorsports? I'll be making a special trip to see it in action!

I should have the transmision and 402 in before the week is out. Then the tuning begins.Things should be interesting this year if the beast can put down 500+hp at the wheels.
