Default Flowmasters or Magnaflow?

Right now I have true dual 40-series delta flow flowmasters with two big 4in x 22in tips. I fixing to have a magnaflow x-pipe installed. Should I keep my two flowmasters or cut them out and put two magnaflow mufflers in place of them? I'm looking for good performance as well as sound. Do magnaflows sound good? Has anybody ever gone from flowmasters to magnaflows? Please help!

I used to have a Magnaflow and I wish I had kept it because it sounded good and had good performance too. The bad thing about it is it must have weighed 20 pounds. I would recommend it over Flowmaster but maybe a 2 in 2 out would be best since they are so heavy. I wonder if the two sides of a 2 in 2 out are seperated from each other???

Go with Mangaflow, they sound and perform better than Flowmaster in my opinion. I've had both on my truck and if I ever get another performance muffler, it'll be a Magnaflow.

I have a 99 Sieraa x-cab. I have the 18" single in dual out magnaflow and have a big problem with engine drone in the cab. I am thinking about changing to magnaflow part number 12388 or 12588. These are longer and should be more quiet.

Anyone else used either of the magnaflow mufflers. If so are they quiet?

Which magnaflow mufflers should I get as far as performance and sound? I was thinking about getting two of the 6" round x 14" long mufflers. would that be good? I'm having the engine drone inside my truck with the flowmasters also ts99.

My vote goes to MAGNAFLOW. I am on my second magnaflow system and have loved both of them.

As for the comparison you requested: A buddy of mine have the same exhaust setup (magnaflow-x, 2.5"in/out mufflers, dumped before the axle) except he has flows and I have mags. His is louder both in and out of the cab and has a little more droan in the cab but not annoing. Mine is pretty quiet while crusing but opens up a lot when the gas is put to it. The Flows sound a little more metallicy than mine do but both are real deep exhaust notes. Before he started going in the motor we were running dead even with the same mods (his being a 02 mine a 00) so the performance difference between the two are very small IMO. Hope this helps a little in your decision.

Go with the magnaflow 2-2.5 inlet 2-2.5 out it's not to loud, and has good performance the two sides make an x on the inside of the muffler to maintain bottom end power. This is what I was told by the muffler shop.Great muffler.
