I have a 40 3 in and 3 out dumped right before the axle. I get alot of resonance around the 2200 mark the gas pedal vibrates but ive got some engine work that made it louder and worse. Sometimes I like it sometimes its too much. One plus is setting off car alarms I always get a kick out of that. With a cam and shaved heads it sounds mean looking forward to lt's and ORY

Skindog39,
Is that dual setup after cat-back or from the headers? I am interested in what ypur setup is?
Thanks

I just had this done last week on my vho. It definately rumbles, but the resonation in the cab is not near as bad, go figure. I think it sounds a lot better now. Before this set up it was the (2) 40's and the original exhaust. Lots of resonating in cab about 1500-1800 rpm. Now, it just rumbles and at idle you can feel it. Also, some friends inside a restaurant said they could feel it more than hear it when I started the truck up outside.

Also, I had this put on in front of the (2) 40's:

Ok I may be wrong but I heard today somthing about when you dump your exhaust instead of running it out of the back it will make your cab or what ever is above it rust/rot out. Or what ever you wanna call it. I have a 99 with the 5.3 and thinking of cutting out the converters,2 magnaflow mufflers and dumped right out of the muffler. I'm no so sure about it if what is stated above is true. Any suggestions?

Had Flowmaster American Thunder cat back, dual out the back. 1 resonator, 1 30 series one in, two out, 2 chamber. Took the pipes off that split out of the back of the muffler and over the axle to the back and dumped it at the back of the muffler. The sound is almost twice as loud/deep now. I love it , not annoying going down the highway, but nice at idle and sweet when you get on it.
