Flow Masters
I have read alot of post about flowmaster not being very good for flow. I don't like the sound of borla or magnaflow and was hoping to put on of these kits on I just can't find it for a RCSB

if you insist on flows, may as well go to a local muffler shop. im sure almost all of them stock the flows. get them to build you a cat-back setup. i know a local shop did my buddy's single in/dual out flow setup with pipes for $240 and thats WITH adding a y-pipe to his exhaust (formerly duals).

IMO, the crapmaster sounds the best with LT's and an ORY, but I prefer the borla catback if I am keeping the whole exhaust system. The flows are probably the worst choice, with performance in mind, but the best for sound.

Ive got the Super 40 series side exit "SuperTruck" exhaust on mine.
It sounds mean as all hell, but be ready for the lag in power.
I can only get brute force out of my truck now when I floor it.
My gas mileage went from around 18 to about 10-12.
My 96 TA was the same when I replaced the stocker with a flowmaster. Lost almost all low end power, and to get it to move out, always had to get into the gas.
Saving my pennies to afford a tune to offset my troubles.
Nelson had indicated it was an ECM issue that needed to be tuned out.
You might have to do the same for it to run decently and to gain any performance from it. (Plus to save your butt at the gas pump)

found one for a RCSB but it says for 4.8 5.3 with single flanged converter, what the hell are they talking about, all 3 of the nbs trucks I have owned had two converters.

And is there any dyno testing to support that they cause a power lose?
