Question Flex-A-Lite #290

I know its a universal kit....but I just wanted to make sure it will fit my '01. It came with the 5.3...but now has the 6.0.

I looked up part# 282(vehicle specific for the truck) and both parts require the same mounting surface.

Anyone have experience with these? Will I have to get my tuner(FMS) to tune it with the fans to control them?

I'm curious because I can get a hell of a deal on this kit!

thanks,
chris

The 282 kit is for the 34" radiator so it's larger than the 290 kit, which is for the Silverado 5.3 radiator (I think they are 32").

284-34"-6.0?
290-32"-5.3?

If you still have your original radiator, you should get the 292 fans

Thats what I was gonna post. I always thought the 292's were the fans to go for on the smaller radiator.
