ok i used to have an 01 5.3L and i ordered pacesetter headers, msd wires, and a jet 180 t-stat. while they were in the mail i bought an 06 5.3L. question being, the headers said they only fit 99-04. can i install them on the 06? i dont see what the difference would be. maybe in the y-pipe? does anyone else have them on an 05-06. also what about the t-stat?

 

Not 100% sure about the headers...but my 01 5.3 headers fit on my 05 LQ9 with no problems.


The t-stat opening in the 05-06 water pumps is smaller than in the 99-04 pumps.
