Default First startup

Just put a fresh engine and transmission in my truck, is there anything that needs to be done for an initial start up or break in on LS motors?

check fluids, top them off and go WOT as soon as possible to get the rings to seat best.

WOT ASAP. 2k rpm in neutral doesn't load the rings. it's what did on my fresh engine.

That procedure is for flat tappet cam/lifter break in. Not needed with a roller cam.
