I used a grade 5 bolt... Didn't have much reason to use a grade 8... Its 6 inches long 10mm x 1.5... Ordered it from Fastenal for like 5 bucks.. Used about 10 or 11 washers to space it out... And used a 2605mm belt to make it all work.
And I built my transmission myself. I do it for a living. If you looking for one I can cut you a deal.. Im slow as hell right now.
