Default finding a 5.3L

i have a silverado 2000 4.3L reg cab and im tryin to throw that engine out and get a 5.3. the only problem is i dont know where i can find one and get one put in and a transmission for under 7 grand. didnt know if it was possible or not. i know i can sell the v6 and transmission for cheap but hey thats more money to pay back the loan haha. any help would be nice. im not a genius on all of this and im still in the process of learning so thats why im askin you guys. if anyone lives in texas that woudl probably help out alot more so if you do find/have one i coudl just drive and get it. but either way any help finding one around 40,000 miles or less and any est.of what yall think the total cost of the whole swap woudl be. thanks -mike-

Why a 5.3? If your going through the trouble of chaning motors then why not go big with a 6l? Make alot more power with that motor.

well honestly I think you should think about it (if you havent allready) and think about what the plans for the truck are. I you want a pure bad *** truck them get the 6.0. If you want something to beef up and little and arent worried about killing every thing you see then the 5.3 is great IMO. Dont get in a hurry for any thing! trust me.
