Unhappy Finally started the 6 liter... Runnin on 5 cylinders?

So i finally started up my 6.0 liter last night and it only ran on like 5 cylinders! I checked for spark and it was all good. My conclusion? Injectors.. The engine sat for 4 years before i bought it, so i cleaned the injectors as best i could with some carb cleaner cuz they had some gunk in them. Anyway a guy i know told me he soaked his injectors in some solvent over night and blew them out with compressed air. But that sounds to me like it might be a little hard on them. Or what do you guys think? I was thinkin of buying a couple bottles of injector cleaner that you put in the gas tank and soaking them in there.. O and does it not hurt the electrical part of the injector if soaked in something like that?

acdelco sells a very heavily concentrate injector cleaner that we used to sell to shops... they would soak them for a couple of hous and clean them off with carb cleaner.. let me try to find you a part#...

edit: i think the part number is X66P

I'd be concerned about submerging the electrical portion of the injector myself...

I thought about the same thing already but i have always been told that the 6 liter injectors are bigger than the 5.3's. I am going to check the part numbers when i get home tonight. I dont know why i didn't do that before i installed them lol...

if you do soak the injectors, dont let the electrical part get in the solvent or gas or whatever your using. could cause malfunctions or if there is for some reason a loose wire and it sparks, you could have a problem. just my opinion. but dont use compressed air on the injectors, it can damage them. i know from personal experience (i did it to my stocky's that a friend needed when i was installing my 44's, i ended up crackin one of the injectors and the metal plate with the 3 holes where the fuel comes out..... ya, it came off! thats one mistake i wont do again. and i dont know if the 5.3's are the same, but if these guys say they are, id believe them. good luck!

The injectors are the same...the part numbers may not match though. 00-07 classic 4.8,5.3, and 6.0 injectors all flow 24.7 lb/hr (99 is 19 or 21 lb/hr). Not sure on the NNBS's though. My current injectors are from an 02 6.0...
