I tried running the shortbelt, but how in the hell can you all steer when you do this? It takes a lot of force to turn the wheels.

Yep, it does take some umph to steer without the ps. At thunder two years ago, when I still had the 285/50/18, I rode around all weekend with the shortbelt and no front swaybar. Talk about a bitch to drive!

12sec5.3, I am curious to know if your yank 3000 flashes higher than the Vig2800?

02 Reaper- yea, it takes some force but nothing you can't handle. Before I leave the track I replace the belt and it feels waaayy easy. When I dyno tuned my truck we made a pull with the shortbelt and it was good for 4 hp.
onyx-It's stock silvy wheels with MT ET streets 26x10.50 @ 14psi
Tib-No,the yank can't touch the vig when it comes to drag racing. So far my 60' with the yank is .1 slower than the vig. Best with vig-1.72/ Best with yank-1.81. Might get better though.

What rpm does everyone else launch thier yank 3000?

I've always run the 26x11.50. I just recently bought the 10.50's. Don't know if it made a difference.
