huh? The factory exhaust? If you are going to use the OEM cats, you will have to cut them off and weld them in place. You can always use aftermarket high-flow converters if you don't want to cut the stock ones. For most people, stock cats flow well enough. If you have big HP, you may want to go to a higher-flowing cat...

the obx lt's come with a y-pipe with resonators that look like cats but they are straight through. Im not sure if you could pass with them or not. They are only $500 with full stainless headers and y-pipe.

If he actually has the "sniffer" in his exhaust, he definately won't pass with the OBX's. Keep your stock ones if you have emissions. If you don't, just run the longtubes only with a dynomax bullet or two and something like a magnaflow muffler

Why not run true duals if you are gonna do that? Do just like you did but instead of merging to a y pipe, just get a dual in/dual out magnaflow or something similar and just run duals out the back. Be sure you put in an X-pipe, too!

right where the cossmember is would it be possible to put a 4-5" long 3" pipe out of each cat and bolt magnaflow mufflers for the true duals?

would those magnaflow mufflers sound good? they seem kinda cheap
