Question Fast4.8!!! Cam Swap homemade tool Question!

Hey man, I saw the pics of your homemade lifter "holder-upper" tools that you made when you did your cam swap and would like to save some time and money and make my own as well. Can you give me some information on what you made yours out of and the dimensions? I don't care for the magnet idea, plus they're pretty expensive around here! And I sure ain't paying $150 for a pairof those tools ,so I'd like to do like you, and make my own! Thanks for your help, and if you re-post that pic I'd sure appreciate it! I forgot to print it off on the other thread!

Thanks man!

Ryan

That was Fast4.8 that did the homemade cam swap lifter holder upper tool.

Padlock alert if you two don't get back in line and stop spreading rumors that I am slow!!!! It may all start coming together soon.Looks like I'm getting the tranny issues worked out. Now Edit is the next hurdle, they can't find anything wrong with the box, so the laptop likes A-Tap, but not edit. Once I get those done, Whipple Time, unless BlownChevy want's to trade me a Radix!

ON THAT MOTOR I REPLACED MINE WITHOUT A TOOL. THE LIFTERS HAVE PLASTIC SKIRTS AROUND THEM. WHEN YOU TAKE THE WATERPUMP, TIMING COVER, & PUSHRODS OUT & TURN THE CAM THE SKIRTS WILL HOLD THE LIFTERS IN PLACE ALLOWING YOU TO SLIDE THE CAM RIGHT OUT. WE DO THIS ALL THE TIME AT THE DEALERSHIP & HAVE NOT LOST A LIFTER YET.SLIDING THE NEW ONE WORKS THE SAME, BE SLOW THOUGH.
