Default F-body alt pulley same as truck?

That's a pretty effective title..

Is the pulley on a F-body alternater the same as the pulley on a truck alternater?

I measured a pulley on a 2001 Fbody and a 2000 1500 series GMC. They were both the same size.

The very outside edge of the pulley was roughly 2.4" and the top of the ribs were ~2.2" on both.

Hey thank X

The reason I am asking is a few of our sponsors have under-drive pulleys for the alt of an f-body for $25.oo but they dont have them for the truck. I think if I can get a under-drive pulley for the alt for $25.oo Im all over it..

Do you see any problems with this?

Unless the spacing off the alternator is different I don't see why it wouldn't work. I don't think I'll be able to check that with how the Fbody alt is located on the bottom of the engine.

Just order one and try it. If it doesn't work sell it to a Fbody guy for $25.
