Default Exhaust upgrade from stock

What options do I have for a upgrade from stock muffler to add a little flow, but not get too loud? I do realized that increased flow will make it louder, but I don't want something that rattles the cab.

Thanks!

i've heard good things about the hooker aerochamber, borla, magnaflow, and especially corsa. there's also dynamat to keep down reverb inside the cab. i'm going to dynamat my entire truck over the summer.

it really doesn't make a difference. if you're going with the stock y-pipe, you want a 2.5" SI/SO muffler

I have the Dynomax ultra flow welded muffler on my 08 5.3 for about 3 months now
Sounds good but it is def getting louder as I drive it more.

The crappy part is that the stock muffler goes in 3in and out like 2 3/4 so you will need adapters

22" magnaflow tru x is a bit louder then stock while cruising, has a nice sound when you step on it and has minimum drone.

I put on the Hooker Aerochamber and love it. Has some noise in the cab when you accelerate but levels out nice and quite. Can bearly hear it a highway speeds. I used the 3" i/o.

Pretty sure that the stock piping is 2.75, so he'd be better off with a 3" in/out muffler instead of choking it down to 2.5
