Can someone explain the difference between a muffler and a resonator? How is the air flow through a resonator?

Hooker Aerochambers, I love mine. In fact I have two of them. I figured two hookers are better then one.

They said each kit for each vehicle is specifically designed for it. They said the mufflers for the CTS arent the same for the 5.3 trucks, which aren't the same for the 6.0 esky and so on.

I'm not saying this is true, but this is just what I was told. Could be why you truck sounds worse with each mod you do.
Corsa guy told me the same thing when I was trying to get a pn and I told him I had an 01 z71 ecsb but it was going to have a 408 with a cam and lt headers on it said I shouldnt buy it.

Touring system is expensive....I wonder if it would really take out the rasp that I don't like?

replacing the sport with the touring won't work, I tried it. It is quieter but only slightly and just as raspy.

Having the gutted cats will always make it sound a little raspy, I would say if you could run strait pipes or replace them with some cutouts. But I think that other suggestions that the other guys are making are really good. But your exhuast does tend to get a little louder when you add a cam. Glad your truck is hauling some ***!!

Hey Im like you with my ASM's L/T, no cats, and Magnaflow Magnapack mufflers. Sounds good cruising or at idle, but as soon as its under boost or about 2600 get ready for some raspy poppin, redneck callin, straight pipe sounding exaust. I'm lookin into some more mufflers just want something get rid of that poppin and be good flowing. My flowmasters sounded great but I know they dont flow worth a crap. Would a bigger Magnaflow or Borla muffler take care of this I want to run keep rinning true duals. No 2in 2 out muffler.
