Guys,
I keep seeing guys wanting specifically 6.0L Truck exhaust manifolds for different projects. I had a set and sold them and still have a set of 5.3 manifolds.
Does anybody know if there is anything different between the 2. I don't remember seeing anything different.

to my knowledge, there are no differences. same base block, just different bores. the only issue I can think of might be Kmember differences, for the heavier engine, which might result in clearance issues??? But thats just speculation.

I replied in your other thread and copied and pasted it here:
From what I remember, the manifolds are the same where they bolt to the head, but different at one of the flanges. Creederado posted some pics a while back when he converted one of his rides to the SS style dual exhaust.

The manifolds are the same. I've got two sets at home, one from my 6.0SS and one set from a friend's 6.0SS and they are the same as every stock Silverado manifold I've seen for 4.8/5.3/6.0. The only difference is by year and whether or not it's an early truck with EGR or not.
The intermediate pipies are different, as well as the cat back as the 6.0SS and 6.0 HD and Hummer use a 2 in/ 2 out muffler instead of the Y-pipe and 1 in/ 1 out muffler like the 4.8/5.3 Silverados use.

I found his post from 2005, but the pics are gone from it. Apparently the passenger's side manifold/exhaust flange is slightly different than on a 5.3 truck. Never would have known from pics...
