Exhaust leak questions...
#1
First off, the truck is a 2004 Silverado SS. Stock headers and down-pipes with cats and a custom exhaust after the cats and back. A few days ago I tried to hop a curb that I guess I shouldnt have
. It seems that the curb caught the drivers side cat a little bit and now I have a leak between where the header connects to the Y-pipe on the drivers side. From what I can see there are 3 bolts that bolt the y-pipe to the header. I tried tightening all of them and the leak is still there. I am planning on putting long-tubes on the truck sometime within the next month but basically I would like to know if there is anything I can do in the mean time to get rid of this exhaust leak/ ticking noise it is making. I was thinking something like maybe get some kind of gasket from an exhaust shop and put it in between that connection? or is there some kind of sealent i can put around there that will hold for the next month until the long tubes are purchased and installed?

LOL at the un-necessary posts by ryan 1997 that i guess were deleted?
either way, i was thinking high temp RTV but I have to see what the temp rating is on that stuff. I know this area of the exhaust is basically the hottest. Any other alternatives to RTV if that doesnt hold?
