I thought you had 3 inch collectors.. In that case do the 2.5 off the collects. Either run the 2.5's into a dual 2.5 in muff, 3 out or run the 2.5's into a 3 inch merge then into single 3 in/out muffler

No either get a Y pipe that is dual 2.5 in and single 3 out or go into a muffler that has dual 2.5 in and a single 3 out.. But if you want a cut out the dual 2.5 to a single 3 Y out, then the cut out, then the muffler.

With the latest setup that John mentioned, couldn't you just cut and weld the "cats" into your current ORY? Is it stainless, and is that a concern (do you live in a moist climate that sees snow and salt in the winter?)

Ya im sure i could, But the way it is set up now I do not like, The shop that did the ORY made it kinda funky so I just want to re-do the whole set up and run the Magnaflow Y.. And stainless doesnt matter, we hardly get any bad weather here, Hot sun and some rain thats about all we see here..
The shop that will be doin the work is only going to charge $150-200 for all the piping and installing it. I am supplying the muff, e cutout, Y pipe, and cats
