Default Exhaust help

I'm fixing to do my exhaust and need some opinions I have a 2000 z71 rcsb mostly stock right now. I'm just starting on it. Anyway I have two flowmaster 40 series 2 chamber mufflers right now. I want to run true duals I think. My question is: Would two Dynomax ultra flow oval mufflers be better, or maybe a single magnaflow? I like the sound of the flowmasters. I had them on my last truck with no cats turned down in front of the axle. I don't want this one Quite as loud but want to keep the same kind of tone.
Thanks everyone for the help, opinions.

you should go with the magnaflow then if you dont want it too loud. the dynomaxs will be pretty loud.

Are the Magna flows any better? The sound doesnt really bother me, I think I'm going to run tailpipes on this one instead of turndowns.

well, the two are gonna flow almost the same cfi. the dynomax bullets are straight through, they are just perforated to dampen the noise minimally. you can get the magnaflows straight through as well. i dont know how they are internally, but either way you will be ok. you will have more resonance if you go with the dynomax bullets than the magnaflows, but with the magnaflows you will have some too, just not as much. depends on how you exit the exhaust too. going straight out the back shoudlnt be too bad. get some LT headers. my ASMs almost elimated the resonance in my truck(wasnt bad to begin with) if you want something relatively cheap, the hooker aerochamber can be had for $60 from summit. its chambered, but you can see straight through it. its not as loud though, but still sounds awesome.

I was thinking of the bullets also. I'm going to exit out the sides behind the rear wheels.

I am liking my single 3" Magnaflow dumped out the rear pass corner alot better than the dual 2.5" Magnaflows I had dumped before the axle. It is quieter at idle/cruise and actually louder at WOT with a more 'performancy' tone.

See now I have to disagree with ya. I am running true dual dynomax bullets with my asm headers with cats and an x-pipe, 2.5" all the way back, and mine is pretty quiet. I've got the short bullets also. I was told when I bought them that these would be loud, but it is nowhere near as loud as my single in/single out 40 series flowmaster. I also have these bullets dumped right after the mufflers.

At WOT they friggen scream though. Overall I am happy with my bullets, but I wish they were louder. At highway cruise speeds they are very quiet, and they are louder than magnaflows, I've had them too. But I wouldn't trade my bullets for performance. I'm just gonna get a set of cutouts for fun.
