Last I checked they are all bolt on.

Follow your O2 wire up into engine bay, up and over engine to the big *** rubber geommet.
And please dont deill any holes in your dash, center console or whatever.
Mount the switch down low, under the dash, where its not seen.
If you cant figure out how to mount it down there, just zip tie it to your hood popper cable, as you will probably be removing it in a cpl months.

Do it right and dont burn your vehicle down.

If you are really having a problem installing a Ecut out switch, maybe you shouldnt tey it at all. Go to a car audio shop, those guys will be done in 5 mins.
not having problems. My post says I'm looking for ideas on how others have done it. i know its not rocket surgery just seeing what others have done, not interested in having any audio installed just yet. thanks

I tapped the larger Orange Accessory wire going into the back of the drivers side fuse panel in the dash with a fused wire (you could also tap the larger Pink wire which is also switched power). I then mounted the toggle switch just under the cargo light button in an open "square" of plastic. I then ran the wire down from the switch through the kick panel and about halfway down the door seal. I then ran it over and through the same rubber grommet that the AT shift cable goes through just under the carpet in front of the drivers seat. I then continued the run across to the passenger side of the truck by using zip ties along the circular cross member (this was about where my cutout was placed in the exhaust. If yours is in a different spot you can use any of the cross members to route the wire across.

Hope this helps. I can take pics later tonight if you like.....

As mentioned here, they are often called mini taps.

If you have 3" true duals, why are you wanting a cut out? I can't imagine your exhaust is restrictive
