exhaust cut out?

do any of you run a exhaust cut out? i would like more rumble than the stock muffler, but i don't want the kids to go deaf, so i figured i would go with a cut out so i can have the rumble when i want it. thanks

your kids will go deaf from the drone at 2000rpm. yes i run one. the cheap 25$ manual cutout. anyone who is stock height or higher and wastes their money on the electric one for 8 times as much is simply rediculous but it is much more rumbly no doubt. just stay away from 1800-2200 cruising speeds

what is that drone at 2000+/- rpm?
I got my stock muffler cut off and installed a flowmaster 40 series and have it dump out the muffler and it the sound drains out the interior at 2000+/- rpm. but every other rpm it sounds good.

I would go any other way, yes they're expensive but with a 3/4 there's no way I'd be able to get under there to take caps off anyway! Besides, being able to open them up by flicking a switch when I pull into a show is beyond fun, and the sound is absolutely amazing! Absolutely no regrets on spending the money on them! Hope this helps.

respawn, that deafening noise you have with your 40 series in the cab near 2k is similar but not as bad as the cut outs. though i love the sound and would put up with the drone all day to hear that gutteral lope at lights and stuff, you have to be prepared. and yea, i would definitly get electric cut outs if i was dropped. i find it though that once you get them and drive for a while with them open, the only time you'll close it is for a long road trip
