I have mine right before the muffler and I have no cats..... that noise gives me a headache!!!! sounds awesome at WOT but other than that like cruising on the freeway/highway it really drones loud inside....

Default update !!

hey guys i got my cut-out put on finally and its nit right before the muffler because the pipe is not straight there ( i have stock piping) but its a little towards the front like around the ext cab door. but i love it and it actually lets me roast the tires now LOL. like off the line if i hit it full throttle before it would spin a very very little but now it spins them pretty good and takes off like hell! so its a pretty good investment i think. now next is a ported throttle body !!!! thanks for the placement help everyone. Justin

So are you guys saying that even when it's closed it is still too loud? I was looking into one just for fun or at the track but I don't want to hear it on a daily basis. The videos I have seen of them show it getting alomst stock quiet when it closes.

No, they're loud uncapped, that's why it didn't take very long for us to cap them. Unless you just have a loud exhaust period. I couldn't even see out of the rear-view mirror because it was vibrating so much w/ the cutout uncapped.

When you say capped/uncapped are you talking about a manual cutout? I am going electric or forget it. I'm lazy.
