Default exhaust crisis

HELP, i have a 96 rcsb with an intake and a chip, with stock headers (cant aford new ones.) should i run a y pipe to three inch exhaust, no cats, then into a 40 series flowmaster and dump it after the cab or what should i do?

flowmaster is garbage. Buy a borla or magnaflow muffler. It doesn't matter if it is dual or single, what counts is pipe diameter. a y-pipe into a 3" pipe will perform fine. Just don't use a flowmaster.

ya i have dual flowmaster super 40's sound great but not sure they helped any with power if ya want power get somin better if ya like the flow sound get a super 40 not a 40 series
