Default which exhaust is better?

I've read about the 3" single in /out and would it be better than a 2.25" custom H-pipe

Do you mean better than a true dual 2.25? Where did you read this?

I had a true dual exhaust with an H pipe on my 01 and I did loose some low end torque. With my 02 I feel I did not loose any low end. In fact, I did noticed some increase power through the RPM range with my 3" single.

IMO, without headers, after cats, cut so its 2 pipes, x pipe on to that, 2 spintech mufflers, with whatever exit you want. Out the side for me, pass side front of tire.
