Default exhaust?

So I got to surfing ebay for exhaust parts for my 04 5.3. Somehow I wound up looking at corvette and camaro take-off exhausts (complete) for $200-$400. I have a single 3" cat-back right now. Anyways, I'm thinking about going to true duals next spring after I get some longtubes on and make my own ory to handle duals. Some of the exhaust I saw were for 6.0's and 6.2's. Does anyone know what the diameter is of the factory corvettes and camaros? I know it would require slight adjusting, but shouldn't be a big deal. If they are 3" factory, there is no way I could use them for a dual system it would hurt my truck more than it would help because I don't plan on doing any type of forced induction. Can some of you that have done true dual exhaust post pics please. Thanks in advance

I know the 2010 Camaro has a 2.5" catback. Pretty sure the regular Vette does too. I think some of the Z06 models might have 3" exhaust.

I really thought someone might have more to add. Do I need to be more specific, or post in a different area? Someone has to have pics of their dual exhaust setup.

ANYONE? Is it even worth the hassle? I figured it would be pretty easy minus a couple of cuts and some re-welding.

The C6 z06 is 3". The base C6 is either 2.5" or 2.75" (can't recall at the moment, I can take a look at one in the shop in the morning, but I'm fairly certain it is 2.75")

What part of the exhaust are you planning on using? Because the vette exhaust runs down the center of the car under the torque tube. Not saying it can't be done, just having a hard time visualizing it.

I figured its all usable, from the flange back (except mufflers). I think it was a 2010 camaro exhaust that I saw when the light bulb came on. Spacing wise it looks like it would work, but some adjusting would have to be done.

Ive looked for that also, but I can get a stock dual exhaust off ebay and save a few pennies. Maybe this is just a crazy idea. Am I better off just leaving what I have? I just thought it would be fun to have a dual exhaust. Maybe I should just get a SI/DO muffler, any suggestions on those. I like some noise, but really want a good tone and get rid of my drone.
