lm7 - What size ID is that PVC you used? It looks like 3" to me but I'm not sure. I'd bet the dual 90 deg bends right in front of the blower is a big restriction. I am using 4" Aluminum tubing with a reducer to 3.75" at the blower inlet and a little different routing. I am very anxious to try it out now, just need the computer and my tubing back, probably not till Friday at least

Thanks guys for the info.

Those of you talking about relocating your battery to the firewall, what good is that going to do for the procharger intake? I am fixing to rewire my battery using JL Audio 3 4awg outputs battery terminals. One 4awg wire to my starter, one to my alternator, and one to my fuse block. Then one ground to chassis, one ground to engine block, and one accessory ground near fuse block for add on stuff like my fan ground, alarm, gauges, ground for fuel pump relay,etc... Doing this will totally eliminate the red box all together and the wires will be able to be neatly ran to all three locations without being strung across in the air over and under ****.

But before I do this next weekend, after my JL Audio ground lugs come in, I need to see if there is any advantage with the intake situation from relocating your battery. It doesn't seem like the intake could easily get past the master cylinder without doing a 180º angle. I know that is restriction!!!

Please tell me ya'lls future ideas or plans, if the battery would be relocated to the passenger side firewall. Thanks

The reason for relocating the battery is to use that area for a cold air intake.

I understand that, I just was wandering how it would help since you have to make a drastic 180º. Does anyone know about this?

I dont think a 180 bend would be that bad, as long as you dont use 2 90 elbows it shouldnt really place that much restriction on it. The thing I hate is the fact that I am sucking hot air off of the headers. relocating the battery would give you a lot of room for a cold air intake. Or the air/water intercooler if you went that route

my plan is to run the griffen upgrade IC. and as for the intake the batter will be moved and a "cobrahead" style intake will be used to reduce the harsh angle it willl drop down in front of the blower bracket. im gonna use a huge K&N and tear out all the grey insulation typ material next to the radiator behind the grille to acces some nice cool air... right now im more worried about my drivetrain upgrades though so it might take some time to get it all done and post pics up...

Got the truck running today with the new 4" relocated intake. I like it. No SOP difference and still getting full boost. It is sooooooooo much quieter inside the cab, the bypass noise is all but gone. Very happy with it, just need to find some better looking hose clamps and clean up the engine bay a little.

Heres a pic of it roughed in.

Here is a pic of it finished, I had the aluminum pipes chromed, and added a 3 piece engine cover. I reused the filter surround from an old K&N FIPK I had. The filter is the biggest cylinder shaped one I could fit.
