It's just getting anothe 5 cylinder in it. The 5.3 wouldn't be worth the cost for the gains I'd make. I can just put some spray to the next one for a quarter of the cost lol

Not trying to be a dick, but when you blow up the next one spraying you could of had a 5.3or6L running a 100shot safely by the time you add up the bills i bet.. Then when you do screw the v8 up they are a dime a dozen for cheap and your already setup for it. Just my 2cents..
If you do stick with the inline, a turbo 4.2 would be nice..

Well, im getting another 5cylinder for 300 bucks with 9k on it.. and with a good tune a 100 shot will do just fine all day long and put the truck into the 12's lol

300 bucks for a 5cylinder
or
300-500 for a 5.3 probably
Have to change trannies
wiring harness and computer for the swap = 1300+
Headers
driveshaft
rear end isnt going to like the torque (open diff)
1000-3000 for misc parts, cooling parts, exhaust, fuel etc etc etc

This was my DD, I want to build my S10 so im not going to dump a bunch of money into this thing.. it runs low 15's and gets 25mpg on the interstate ill stick with the cheap inlines for now, maybe some spray or a turbo later but this truck isnt going to get much done untill I get going on my S10

just not worth it (if I had money LAYING around.. then yeah haha) it would sound SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD and it really looks nice it needs a V8 but just not in the books..

I can understand this point, so now what kind of convincing is it gonna take for you to do something different with your s10..?
also what i said before was going on what you said a new 5cyl would cost, 300 is cheap and hassle free overall..

The S10, well im about to pay the Colorado off and need to start budgeting better.. so in between saving for a house and saving in general hopefully I can start getting parts for the S10

Want to get a 6.0 short block/ rebuild then do some L92 heads/intake and a T56 in it
