i have been planning on just going to the thunder shootout to spectate, but a friend of mine has been pushing me to finish the 6.0 and drop it in the truck with the cam and a set of stock heads with bigger valves and a new converter and a set of slicks and of course a few other goodies. anyways, i have the 6.0 in the shop right now, but it's disassembled and i will need all new gaskets to finish the motor off. what do you guys think it will cost to throw this motor together and get it ready for install??? new stall will be going in at the same time so that kills two birds i guess. i would really like to get it finished for that race, but if not i guess i'll just drive the truck down as is and show it off....but i'd definatly like to get the big motor in and have it running great by then.

If the motor was complete and just needed to be dropped in, $500. And then if you wanted it dyno-tuned, after having it installed, $500. That is what Futral told me over the phone.

see, i really just want to know how much all the gaskets and stuff is gonna cost me. i'm gonna finish painting the block tonight and one day this week take it to the machine shop and have it cleaned properly to make sure the oil and water passages are clean etc...and probably put it back together one day next week. i can't decide if i should replace the main and rod bearings or if they will be ok since they were low mileage anyways.
