That was hilarious! Thanks, I got a good laugh from the drive-through.

That was too cool. Gotta love the need for speed and power.
I agree with Yelo, the tall AND soft suspension are the culprits. Look at the "stink bug" effect on the rear suspension when the hammer is dropped.
Like F8L and others said a small suspension drop or stiffer springs would cure most/all the torque steer.

14.3 at 101 at Firebird (notoriously slow, that's my first excuse!). BADLY slipping trans on the 1st to 2nd shift (starts shifting at 40mph and completes the shift around 60mph);another horribly slow shift, slipping on the 2nd to 3rd shift. It slips so bad with this much power (roughly 470awhp/520awtq) that I haven't gone back to the track for fear I'll blow it before I get my built trans. I ordered a new "built 4L65 trans/stall/server/cooler/shiftkit a few weeks back. It's taking quite a while but should be done and on the truck in about a week and a half or so. Then I'll of course head back to the track.

I would imagine even at Firebird I'll run around a 13.6 @ 104mph. The top end power is INSANE! With the factory stall being so low, I'm not really cranking out the serious power out of the hole. It's enough to stick with auto trans Vettes though! Yes, they're hitting 14.2-14.3 here, about the same as a stock SS (auto) or Lightning. The 3000 Stall will obviously make a huge difference. I dropped .7 on my Camaro SS years ago with just a 3200 stall. Went from 14.3 stock to 13.6.

Other things to consider:
- I'm running around 10.8 A/F ration on the Methanol. FAR from an ideal spot since the Tune is set in between the wimpy 5psi setting with no Meth, and the 9psi setting with Meth. I'm going to have it tuned for just the 9psi which should yeild me closer to the 500awhp and 550awtq mark just with that change alone.
- 9psi is probably not pushing it enough with the LQ4. I'm debating going up just 1psi to 10psi which would give me another 20hp/20tq (roughly 20hp per psi of boost). Possibly 11 or 12 psi depending on how it looks.
- When it was tuned, he didn't take into account my tire size being physically shorter. The problem this made is that it's shifting at 5400rpm instead of at least 6000rpm, which would be ideal for my Turbo (big turbo needing more rpm for the serious power) and because I have Comp Cams spings and hardened Pushrods that can accept the higher rpm range.

So as you can see, there is A LOT left in the truck. After all this is done, an FMIC will be on the way. Does this ever really end???

Tell us about your Escalade? HP? TQ? 1/4 mile times?

It ran its first pass yestaurday @ milan. It ran a 1.975 60 " and a 13.85@89.41 . So until this weekend against the livernois truck we wont know what it really runs.... I'll keep everyone guessing.. Last year it ran a 14.2 @97.8

Do the math..
Last year --- 14.2 @97.8
This year --- 13.85@89.41 lol wow what happened to the trap speeds.....
You should be able to figure out what it runs lol. Hopefully we'll see ya around.

O and BTW weedo. A 14 second big *** SUV isnt something you need to make excuses to everyone for. Just tell em what it goes. Not what it could go. It looks kinda pathetic. Just my opinion. The whole well if I did this and the track is slow etc...

You're mistaken my obviously young friend...

I've given every little bit of information on my truck. I have since day one. What's on it, what it was stock, HP/TQ, 1/4 time, 60ft time, etc etc... I've also noted everything I'm going to do to the truck. These are not "excuses", these are realities. Rather than being a tool about it, why don't you re-read the post and learn from it and others. I listed the 1/4 mile times of other vehicles that run similar 1/4 mile times here to give you an idea of what times are normally run here. Seriously, give us all a break...

I would be willing to bet your truck isn't within 100hp of mine, and they're probably similar in weight, gearing, etc. Now, if I switched down to the 5psi setting, you may be close in power (~370awhp).

The odds that your truck, lined up next to mine, would beat me in a race are slim to none, regardless of the numbers you've posted.
