Default engine swap

I recently got a 99 Silverado 4x4, reg. cab, short bed, with a 4.8l. It has a newly rebuilt 4l60 tranny, front/rear diff. were rebuilt with lockers added. The guy was trying to make an offroad truck, but had to sell, so I bought it. I think with the drivetrain improvements, and an engine it could be made into a pretty fast little truck.
I plan on putting a 6.0l lq9 in, and maybe later a supercharger or something like that, I haven't planned that far ahead. I plan on swapping the engine, a new higher stall torque converter, and a good dyno tune. My question is what all do I need, or you suggest I do when I change the engine. I will eventually do other things to it, and am wondering if there is anything anyone can think of to change or upgrade now while I have it apart, that I will have to do later when doing other things.

pm slowec he did the 4.8 to 6.0 swap. he can tell you everything you need to know. you might as well take that 60e out and call flt-------> or have a 65e built yourself cuz what you got now want last long.
