I don't know about the z-max, but I've done GM Top End services, BG Induction services, and Seafoam treatments on various vehicles and checked the results with a bore-o-scope (before and after) and have seen cleaner combustion chambers

That's crazy that it's illegal. I could just see myself getting pulled over and searched, "sir, what is this top end cleaner doing in your toolbox?"

I've used seafoam on everything except my truck. It even works on lawn equipment

Did you get it fixed yet? I'd like to know if it's the fp or something else.

Budhayes3... how well does Sea Foam work compared to BG and GM?

Have you ever seen the cloud a good top end cleaning makes? I'm sure that's what the tree-huggers are scared to death of...

I seemed to see the best results with the BG stuff, but that's a pressurized 3 step system. The GM and Seafoam worked about the same IIRC...all 3 worked pretty good though. Seafoam is definitely best bang for the buck. The BG service is the most expensive, requiring 3 cans of chemicals (2 in the intake and one in the gas tank) and a pressurized cannister with a fogger nozzle.
