I hated my electronic throttle from day one! I checked into converting on here a long time ago and no one ever really had any good advice, so I just lived with it. When I did the 4l80 conversion I had to lose it so I now have a cable. This is an involved swap and now that I have done it, I really wouldnt recommend it. Changing the gas pedal alone is enough to convince you not to do it!

My main problem with it was it was so doggone sensitive. I have nerve damage and can't feel my feet very good. I was always peeling out, not meaning to, and if I got on a bumpy road it was horrible. But, it was easier to make idle with the cam than the cable setup has been.

i see, mine is prety sensative too. it would be nice to program it progresively, like 1/2 throttle is only 1/4 open kind of thing but open faster as you get closer to the floor.

toxic-I had to convert because the pcm had to be reflashed to work with the 4l80 and GM didnt make any 4l80/electronic throttle trucks in 2002 so I had no choice.
