Default Electric water pumps anyone?

So ive been thinking about getting an electric water pump as Ive heard they free up around 10-15hp. Is anyone running them, how much hp was freed up, what price did you pay, and where did u get it from? Ive checked ebay, jegs, summit, and texas speed and texas speed has the lowest priced one for like 284. Would this be a good investment or should i spend my money on something else? Thoughts?

Meziere Electric Water Pump, Small Block Chevy

I don't think that's the correct pump for an LS motor. I recall them being around twice as much as that and looking a lot different.

ya the price doesnt seem consistent with everything else i have seen but in the description on this part on texas speeds site it says its a LS pump for LS1 and LS6 i believe. if so thatd be a hell of a deal. Plus i had a brain fart and forgot about the search function, just found some other threads about electric water pumps that look useful.

This is the one you need. The one you posted looks like an old 350 water pump

Meziere LS Electric Street Water Pump

I run one because I got it for pretty cheap. Don't think I would run one if i had to pay the actual new price on it. You need spacers if you run truck accessories.

You could use a diff pump if you wanted to get whitty and remote mount it. Like they said that is not the correct pump, they are selling new for 7xx.

Holy ****, I didn't realize they were so expensive. You can buy a turbo for that much

Right!

Couldn't justify the cost for one of those myself unless it was a situation where I had done about every mod and bolt on and was looking to squeeze out that extra tenth to break into the 11's or something like that.
