Default Electric Cutout Installation

hey guys... Whats the best place to run the Cord into the cab from...

I am putting the switch in my overhead console.... I was wondering if I should go through the engine bay and through the firewall, or if there was a hole in the floor I could use.....

THanks

On my 2000 there's a grommet right underneath the driver's side carpet. Its right in front of the seat and takes about 10 seconds to get to. I've got my CB antenna wires coming up through there.

Well, when i ran mine, I plumbed it through the Modular Di-electrode unit and spliced it in the insulation shaft sending unit and from there I set up a remote sensor wire using positive and negative transitor diodes and it worked fairly well. Make sure to adjust the magnetic field frequencies when doing this to prevent any major radio wave distortions.

Actually, ill be over there in a little while and we will just drill a hole in that bitch.

look on your passenger side under the door sill. There should be a 1/2 inch hole under there. Get a small drill bit (big enough for the wire) and drill out the bottom of that hole. It should be close to where your electric cutouts are and allow you to run wires up the kick panel, up the A-Pillar, on top the headliner and to the overhead console. once everything is done and wired up, use some sort of wire loom, protective coating on the exposed wire underneath the truck. Finally, silicone the hole you drilled to make sure that no water gets into the cab.

This is how we ran nitrous lines in a few of my friends trucks....if you need pictures I can snag a few.
