Default EGR Mod

I was on another forum and came accross the EGR Mod. Can we do this mod for our trucks. Does it really do anything? What are the gains? What does EGR stand for? Thanks

Yes, it will work on any LS1 based engine. The concept behind cutting down the tube is to prevent restriction of incoming air. You're not going to feel any seat of the pants power gains. It will be very minimal. EGR stands for Exhaust Gas Recirculation.

the .4 horsepower that mod will get you wont add up to anything. i did it last year and all i got out of it was a leaky egr inlet.
