To all Edit gurus. I have a question about Editing the High Octane spark table. What is a good number to use to start changing cells?? I had a friend send me a flash of his Rado with a Whipple, could I try that Table? Or should I not because his table is set up for forced induction?? From what I can tell the fields arent changed much. Would it be OK for me to try it? Could I try the 6.0 spark tables? Im confused......

Check it out in the graph view and see which one is smoother. But your buddies whipple tune may have some decreased timing in it. My stock curve looked like booboo so I swaped in an 02 5.3 table which is much smoother plus I added two degrees across the board. I now see around 27* at wot with no kr.

Is there a reason I cant read a file from an 02 Rado? I have version 1.3. Edit tells me "This is a 2002 Chev MPV C LM7 5.3 Liter PCM, that you didn't license." Is there something I can do? If I were to try to make a +4* change across the board of my stock flash, what value do I put in the Multiplier box?? Is there a specific RPM range that I should modify? Is there a max value of timing that can be safely added? Im gonna try to do some logging today and see what I come up with.

TTT.
Did some logging today with QuickSilverTA. Im getting from .5 to 8* KR at various RPM's. I changed my fuel filter, ran my truck empty and filled with 91. Drove for a while, logged again and did pretty much the same thing. Anybody have a clue what is going on here?

I responed to you pm with answers to most of these questions. But you can add 4* across the board (btw.. this is all Hypertech does on thier 93 oct tunning) by putting '4' in the box in the lower right and hitting the 'add value' button then 'apply changes'.

I got the 2 resistors on. Holy hell, a noticable difference. No time to log yet. But will tomorrow and add some timing and log some more. So for those plagued with a 99 PCM with KR disease. This little trick works. I did a lot of logging and burning 100 to make sure the knock was false!

Well, no workie on the new table! Got some serious audible knock! I reverted to my 99 curve and added some timing. I see 25-29* at WOT with 0 KR now. Runs better than it did. Thats for sure! Guess it makes a difference when the computer isnt stealing 8* of timing from you!
