stock cam 5.3 to stock cam LS1 i went from 13.88 to 13.26 with the motor being my only change (i was basically full bolt on). a 226/226 cam dropped me down to 11.49 and some budget heads dropped me to 12.19. this was all n/a in an extended cab 01 model.

I got the engine sitting in my garage now an gona slowly start workin on it be4 I put it in. I got a set of stock 706 heads layin around an was thinkin bout just hand porting them myself to put on the Ls1.
Any one of u ever done this?
Or port heads urself?

I know of a member on here that can probably do an engine swap and a rear end setup in 4.5 hrs alone...

Forgot to mention that I squeezed in a two hour nap also, so would have been a 2.5 hour swap.

lol nice. i always get hung up with stupid stuff. once i got in too big of a hurry and didnt realize i never stabbed the converter until the bellhousing was fully bolted up
