Default E fan PCM outs

I am installing the fans tonight, and I know the blue plug uses PIN# 42....but there is a pin on the red plug that will control the low speed side of the fans.....anyone know what pin it is?

This is the first time I've heard that. I thought the second fan control pin was used for something else on the trucks?

I have a Fbody and Truck PCM pinout in front of me right now.

Pin 42(BLU connector) on the Fbody is the Fan relay 1 control

Pin 33(RED connector) on the Fbody is the Fan 2 and 3 relay control

Pin 42(BLU connector) on the trucks is listed as not used. We use it though to control the fans just like the Fbody does.

Pin 33(RED connector) on the trucks is the HVAC recirculation door control

What Harness are you using or is it a homemade one?

There a bunch of "not used" pins on the truck connectors. Which one might control a second fan setting I don't know.

I have my own PCM pins.....making the harness myself....not using the crappy controller that comes with the flex-a-lites.

Go see if it's used already on your truck. My service manual is for a 2000 model year.
