I would love to do that to my truck instead of building a gas motor. Does anyone know if any suspension mods would have to be done? I'm sure the motor mounts are all different, so some fabricating would be required right? Also, thats a OBS, any body ever do it to a NBS?

Yes, but only once in the back seat.

Seriously, that's a great idea. I've dreamed about this for years. An AWD RCSB 1/2 diesel. Call me crazy, but I've even thought about putting a Duramax or Cummins diesel in my car. It'd be an easy way to get 1200ft-lbs.

There's got to be A LOT of fab work involved. You can pretty much throw away your tranny and diff too. I don't think our 10bolt would like that much torque. I would think the fuel system would have to be totally converted too, as well as a lot of electronics.

I say do it man!

I would love to do it, but I'm sure that it wouldn't be cheap at all. I would pretty much need to swap over everything, trans, transfer case, rear, it all adds up quick. I love the idea, but it might be fun to keep the truck gas and try and beat all my friends who have diesels. Like tonight, I beat a 04 with 33s who has intake, exhaust and a chip. It was fun as hell since I just have the little 5.3 and I'm turning 38s But, either way, I know I'm gunna need a tranny swap, cause mine sure as hell ain't gunna last the way I drive

That would be the ONLY cost effective way of doing it!

It's not you, it is fugly! Lose the spoiler, lower it and take the SS wheels off, they don't look right to me. Now, I like the idea of a diesel, I was thinking a 2500 CTD may be my next truck.
