Duals without mufflers...?
#1
I've got a 2000 rcsb with a 5.3, anyone every tried running the stock 'y' pipe and making the single out a dual out by bolting up an 'x' pipe and just dumping the 'x' pipes without any mufflers at all?

Are you talking about cutting your y-pipe and attaching a x-pipe to that?
Regardless without any mufflers I think the resonance will drive you nuts in just a couple of days. I've unbolted my muffler and drove around with it just to **** off the locals but its a headache to drive. However, maybe its differnet with my ExCab vs. your Regular.

Yeah That Would Prolly Sound Horrible An Dyou Might Even Loose Power Because Of Too Much Free Flow And No Back Pressure On A Stock Motor, I Wouldnt Reccomend It.i Have A Reg Cab And At One Time ,when I Ha Dmy Cats On I Cut My Stock Muffler Off And Welded A 3inch Turndown On The Pipe, It Didnt Sound Too,too Bad But It Did Drone And Always Sounded Nasty At Any Rpm. So I Bought A Flowmaster. And Wth The Dual Setup You Want I Wouldnt Think It Would Sound To Great
