Dual-mode FRPP mufflers?

Alright, I was slumming around looking at parts on the FRPP site and I saw that they sell dual-mode mufflers individually for their Cobra kits. I was wondering if anyone had experience with dual-mode mufflers before....

the new Z06 has them and the 2008 corvette will have them as an option
